Following the heartwarming response to our involvement in last year's Angel Tree program, we are again asking for volunteers to assist.

When you give an Angel Tree gift, you remind a child that they are loved and not forgotten this Christmas.

Children in the Extraordinary Lives program receive a gift at Christmas time from their parent in prison via Angel Tree involvement.

This helps to build and maintain the critical parental connection and lets a child know their parent still loves them and is thinking of them.

Last year's response?

Our delivery team were overwhelmed by the gratitude of the carers of these kids and mentioned how they were concerned that without our help, thee kids would have had no Christmas gifts. Carers really appreciated our church's involvement and took the opportunity to speak about the ongoing challenges and heartaches of caring for these kids of prisoners.

What does it mean to volunteer?

The time frame for this program is short. We provide the Angel Tree organisers with the number of children we will purchase gifts for and the extent of areas we are able to deliver to.

The organisers check with prisoners who would like us to deliver a Christmas gift (as if from them) to their child. Once we have that list, we can provide you with an age plus interests of that child to purchase a gift.

The designated delivery team will then organise the gifts to be delivered to the home of the child.

A Signup Sheet is available at the church to register your involvement.
